How to Track & Interpret Analytics of a Short Link & Associated Features?

Short Link – Summary Analytics View 



You will see Summary Analytics of a Short Link along with the Short Link Record

Impression / Views:
Number of times a CTA Banner associated with a Short Link is displayed

Clicks: 
Total number of Clicks on a Short Link and/or on an associated CTA Banner 

Conversions:
Total number of conversions achieved out of a Short Link & associated CTA Banner 

What is considered as a Conversion?
  • For a Short Link or QR – if Socxly Conversion Code is used in a Landing Page Opt-in Form
  • For a File-based Short Link – Each Download is considered a Conversion
  • For a CTA Banner – if Socxly Conversion Code is used in Landing Page Opt-in Form / Page

    To configure and use Conversion Code for your Short Link & CTA Banner Landing Pages
Conversion or Leads is the Goal set for every Short Link / QR or associated CTA Banner. In most cases, it is a Lead Opt-in Form set on the Long URL or the Landing Page of a CTA Banner Redirect URL.

To view specific analytics of a CTA Banner – go to CTA Menu and view analytics specific to each CTA

Short Link Analytics Breakdown



UTM Traffic data 
If you have associated UTM to your Short Links or CTA Banner Redirect URL, then you can track Traffic coming out of the Clicks through your Google Analytics Account for now.

In our upcoming version, we will give you the option to connect your Google Analytics Account with Socxly to track the Traffic generated out of the Clicks from the Short Links or CTA Banners.

You can track Traffic coming out of Socxly through your associated UTM parameters.
For Short Links which do not have any UTM associated, Socxly will insert UTM_Medium=Socxly which can be tracked in your Google Analytics Account
Note 
Clicks and Traffic may not always be equal since Users may bounce out of your designated URL sites / landing pages or stop the redirections on Clicks.
